ABOUT ME

I’M JUST A LOVER OF A GOOD STORY
AND GREAT COFFEE

A LITTLE ABOUT
MY STORY

My appreciation of the power of storytelling began when I was a little girl and my grandfather Ron, an avid sports historian, took me on colourful journeys from days spent in his scratchy, woolen Richmond football jumper to afternoons lost in comic books tucked up in his attic.

Ronnie was the ultimate storyteller. His stories made me feel something, connecting with me on an emotional level.

Now every time I partner with individuals and organisations, it’s a privilege to shape their stories and watch them connect with audiences to create long-lasting memories.

My professional career began breaking news in Melbourne’s 3AW radio newsroom covering the people and events that have shaped our community, and on camera for national television networks Channel Ten and Fox Sports commentating on Australia’s premier netball league for over a decade.

Each chapter sharpened my belief that the most powerful messages are rooted in human experience – in story.

This led me to spend nearly a decade in the media and PR departments of Collingwood Football Club, Hawthorn Football Club, and government and private entities, shaping the narrative and brand of the organisations and their people.

These experiences inspired me to create SA Media so I can invest my time and passion into creating engaging storytellers because the world would be a more interesting place if we all told great stories.

People that have inspired my thinking…

  • Ronnie

My late grandfather Ronnie inspired my appreciation of great storytelling.

Ronnie’s tales took me on colourful journeys that I can still see, hear and feel.

He was the ultimate storyteller and a man of the people.

  • PAN & Peter

A business leader with great purpose, Pete’s success is built off five simple principles, one of which is ‘the question is more powerful than the answer’.

Pete taught me the power of listening to learn and an unrelenting commitment to ask the right questions.

His principles continue to guide me today.

  • DR SUESS

Dr Suess takes you on whimsical storytelling journeys through playful rhymes, vibrant imagery and the odd life lesson.

I was gifted Oh the Places You’ll Go as a 15-year-old chasing my sporting dreams and still value the lessons it taught me.

Now my nights are spent reading Green Eggs and Ham to my boys.

  • Nike

The marketing team at Nike are the masters of storytelling, creating long-lasting connection with consumers through emotion and inspiration.

Nike is not just about selling shoes; it’s about selling dreams, emotions, and a sense of possibility.
